Discover Scotland's ancient past, through the legacy of the enigmatic Picts at Pictavia Visitor Centre. Open all year round and ideal for the whole family, this all-weather attraction allows visitors to explore the culture and mysteries of the Picts through a mixture of interactive exhibits, replicas and original artefacts. Pictavia is a fun and educational experience for those who are new to the life of the Picts, as well as those who already have a keen interest in these fascinating people.
In the early centuries of the 1st Millennium, settlers in Angus paid their homage to this unique part of the world, leaving for the wonder of future generations the mysterious Pictish stones, which to this day watch over the landscape.Refreshments

The topic of the Picts provides opportunities for a stimulating and absorbing study of an ancient people who lived and influenced the local area. Pictavia has a key role in supporting and assisting groups who wish to study the Picts. At the present time there is a wealth of literature upon the Picts, however this is aimed at a mainly adult audience. Pictavia has developed a flexible Resource Pack, which is for use by groups and which can be tailored to the specific needs of the group. This is achieved through the use of a variety of modules, worksheets and resources.Additional Information
