Walk, take the car or even the Post bus right to the top of the spectacular Moiry Dam and Glacier at 2250 metres, rarely can you get this high by vehicle. The restaurant here beckons you for lunch with the usual hospitality you would expect from Switzerland. In the Moiry restaurant enjoy the fantastic far reaching views of the Val d'annivier and beyond. You can also marvel at the Via Ferrata - an almost sheer climbing experience, which surprisingly can be undertaken without normal climbing experience when accompanied with equipment and the expertise of a local guide. Once at the top of the Via Ferrata you can choose to experience an 80 metre zip slide. You can of course take a gentle walk down to the restaurant.
Grimentz boasts over 100km of marked mountain biking trails and every August hosts the finish of The Grand Raid - this famous race starts in Verbier and crosses the valleys and the peaks of the Valais.
There is plenty to keep the family busy throughout your summer holiday. Grimentz village offers... tennis courts, mini golf, fishing, climbing (including indoor and outdoor climbing walls) with instruction, a fully organised kids programme in both the village and on the mountainside where children can learn about nature and respect for the mountain ecology.
Why not escape the stifling heat of the cities and beaches and breathe Switzerland's cool mountain air.
