The Dorgard Series provides a wire-free solution for legally holding open fire doors in any position.Additional Information
Unlike electro-magnetic retainers (EMR), Dorgard requires no wiring as it is battery operated and self-contained. Installation is easy, quick and non-disruptive. It is affixed to your fire door with four screws and takes approximately 5 minutes to install. Once you have inserted two C-size batteries (supplied), Dorgard is ready for duty.
When Dorgard is holding open a fire door it listens for a continuous fire alarm sound level of over 65 decibels. After approximately 14 seconds it will release, allowing the fire door to close under the pressure of the overhead door closure.
System X
System X is a wireless fire safety system consisting of a transmitter unit (TX) which incorporates the very latest radio technology.
The TX is sited beside the fire alarm bell or sounder. On identifying an alarm condition the unit automatically sends a radio signal to activate Dorgard X and Deafgard X.
Dorgard X
Dorgard X is a fire door retainer which allows you to keep your fire doors held open safely and legally. In the event of the fire alarm sounding, Dorgard X will receive a signal from the TX unit and release your fire doors, preventing the spread of fire and smoke.
Deafgard X
Deafgard X is a wireless alarm listening device for the deaf and hard of hearing.
The unit is placed at the user's bedside and is activated by the TX in the event of a fire alarm sounding. When activated, the pillow pad will vibrate, the LED will flash and the screen will read FIRE, waking the user and allowing them to leave to a place of safety.
